After another intense third day of competition, the team from Hungary took the gold medal. Silver went to Japan and bronze to France. The Swiss team finished in a good fifth place.

After two intense days of competition in the Mobiliar Arena in Gümligen, Hungarian Mate Tamas Koch is crowned the winner in a field of 324 participants. Giacomo Paolini (ITA) came second, with Xinkun Zhang (CHN) and Matteo Galassi (ITA) sharing third place.

No competition luck for the four remaining Swiss athletes in the Berne World Cup. Alexis Bayard, Ian Hauri, Hadrien Favre and Clément Métrailler were beaten by their stronger opponents.

After the first day of competition, 4 Swiss fencers qualified for the main tableau of the best 64.
