Another record participation in the Berne World Cup 2026

,

At the end of the registration period for this year’s Berne World Cup, 371 athletes from 70 nations have registered. This is another record participation. 41 nations have registered for the team competition.

With this number of participants, the only Swiss elite World Cup tournament has become the largest and therefore most important World Cup tournament in fencing. In the past, the tournaments in Heidenheim (GER) and Paris were even bigger.

Among the registered participants is Koki Kano from Japan, the reigning world and Olympic champion (see picture). There are also 20 Swiss athletes in the starting field.

The organizing committee is looking forward to welcoming the world’s best fencers to the Mobiliar Arena for an extremely high-calibre rendezvous.
